All You Need To Know About Robyn Hilton

Robyn J. Molyneuxan is an American actress and a model. She was very active during the late 1970s and 1980s. 

Early Life

Robyn J. Molyneuxan was born on July 13, 1944. The Twin Falls, Idaho, is the birthplace of Robyn Hilton. Moreover, Hilton is the daughter of James Elias Molyneux.  Robyn Hilton’s father had served at the U.S. Army at the time of World War II. The family was of Scandinavian and Cherokee Indian origins with a Mormon history. Her choice of a profession as an actress does not satisfy her father. Hilton had been living her childhood on a farm. Furthermore, she had received her early education from Jerome High School in 1958. After that, she attended Boise Junior College. Finally, then she completed her education from Utah State University. 

In an interview, she said she gave to the Desert Sun in 1974 that she had almost no hair as a kid, and her mother always had to put a bow over her head so people might realize she was a female.

Life After Studies

After completing her education, she moved back to her hometown, and there she became a weather forecaster. Robyn Hilton appeared as a guest in many films and television shows. For example, the Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson on 17 January 1947. Hilton’s last credited role appeared on screen in 1985. 

Many blogs have mentioned her stating that in Idaho, it was so cold that she would have to ski to school, and her dog would have to dig her out of the snow sometimes. She went to Boise Junior College and Utah State University and later worked for a local channel in Idaho as a weather forecaster, but set her goals higher and started seeking entertainment roles.

Before her movie debut,  Robyn Hilton spent a few years starring in the “nudie-cuties” genre and appeared in many shorts. She met the M.O.R.E. Publications, publisher, Mitch Orenstein, in the mid-1960s. He helped her gain popularity in his many publications, in Idaho where she appeared in the nude. The two were said to have started an affair around the same time her first photoshoot was published. In the early 1970s, she was quite a well known American adult in the entertainment world.

Hollywood Career

Robyn Hilton‘s Hollywood breakthrough came in the 1974 satirical-comedy Blazing Saddles directed by Mel Brooks, in the role of Miss Stein, secretary to Governor William J. Le Petomane (a Native American chief who talks Yiddish). The film was on a $2.6 million budget, but it went on to make approximately $119.6 million and was a commercial hit. The film went on to receive three nominations for the Academy Award. Blazing Saddles remains her most desired after the film to date. 

The success of the film gave her several parts, including Denise in Single Girls (1974), Linda Loveman in The Last Porno Flick (1974), a guest appearance in the iconic procedural hit by the police The Rookies (1974).In the same year, she was published twice by Playboy in the publication, albeit fully dressed. She also featured on the 1974 Johnny Carson Show, where she listed her inspirations as Carole Lombard, Clark Gable, and Neil Diamond. She’s famously said on the Carson Show that she’s not smoking or drinking, just “other stuff” and studying numerology and astrology. 

In 1975, she appeared as Miss O’Toole in 1 episode of ever-popular Starsky and Hutch and the sex comedy Film Vixens. Still, gradually, the commercial positions ended, moving to the adult entertainment business. She teamed up with M.O.R.E. Publications once again, and sure enough, they soon published M.O.R.E. Robyn Hilton with her as the main star. Hilton featured in several more short adult films between 1975 to 1977.

But as misfortune would have it, most of her adult industry work was destroyed in a fire at the M.O.R.E. warehouse in Carson City, Nevada. But there is absolutely no evidence of her having ever served in adult entertainment. She eventually vanished from the public eye, and her last credited appearance was in 1985 in Malibu Express, starring other playboy playmates, including Lorraine Michaels, Barbara Edwards, and Lynda Weismeier. Since then, she has not appeared in any movies.

Marriages

She had been dating Peter Knecht and Mitch Orenstein in 1956 and 1959, respectively, until she married William Hilton in 1961. Before starting her acting career, she met Hilton and was separated by the time she appeared in Flaming Saddles. Before they separated in 1968, the pair had two daughters and offered no apparent reason for any controversy. 

Many websites claim that she was married to Mel Gibson and had seven kids, but this is nothing more than misinformation. Gibson was married to Robyn Denise Moore, and their divorce came through in 2011.

Hilton stayed single for many years following her first split and married Alan Mihoces on April 20, 1990. The pair divorced 19 years later, in 2009, despite raising one child together. Her partnerships have not been published since then. There are no details about any of her children’s whereabouts.

Although Robyn Hilton’s debut was as a supporting actress, later, she came in the front. A positive thing about her is that she didn’t drink or smoke, but she did admit about doing other things. 

Her most successful period was when she was active on the screen when she was single. It was the time between two of her marriages when she was single. She also lost her two daughters in a car accident.
